【単独インタビュー】「BLITZERS」、韓国おすすめスポットやアイドルを目指すきっかけとなったものなどを明かす!
[Exclusive Interview] ”BLITZERS” reveal their favorite spots in Korea and what inspired them to become idols!
In May of this year, they became the first K-pop idols to appear on the British ITV variety show "Britain's Got Talent."
Having achieved the remarkable feat of advancing to the semi-finals, the band will be coming to Japan on the 12th of this month in Tokyo and on the 24th in Osaka.
"BLITZERS", who will be holding the event, responded to an interview with wowKorea. Q. Hello! I met "BLITZERS" at the release event in September.
But this time you're back with a live performance. Can you tell us a little about what you've been up to so far? Jina: I've been performing in other countries, making plans for the future,
Joohan: We were busy preparing a special stage for this concert.
Q. Please tell us the position that you are the only one in the group "BLITZERS" (not vocals or rap, etc.)
, washing dishes, choosing menus, etc.) Jina: I often make mistakes, but the other members usually solve them.
Juhan: I'm in charge of organizing the team.
Maybe because I am an "I" and "J" (judging type), I often make plans and organize things. Rutan: I'm in charge of choosing the menu and ordering delivery.
Wooju: Hello, I'm the grumpy guy in BLITZERS.
Shah: I originally did rap, but in Japan I was doing MC work.
I'm in charge of Japanese, and although my Japanese is not perfect yet, I'm doing my best. Chris: I'm in charge of the gags and English in "BLITZERS"! Q.
Please tell us your favorite song out of all the songs you have released so far! Also, please tell us why you like it and what your selling point is.
Please tell us the intro too. Jina: It's "MACARENA." I don't know who made the choreography, but I think it was very well done... (I made it (laughs)).
Juhan: "Gradation." Because I like our promotions for this song the most.
Rutan: I like "MACARENA" the most. The stage has a fun and interesting atmosphere, and Jina hyung's choreography is great.
Wooju: I like "Forever in my hearts" the most because it's the first song I recorded without any direction.
Shah: I think it has to be "MACARENA." "MACARENA" is the most fun song to perform, and it's the song that lifts my spirits when I'm performing it.
Chris: I like our latest song "Race Up." The reason is that I wrote the lyrics and I think it's the perfect song to liven up the atmosphere on set.
Q. Looking at the behind-the-scenes footage uploaded to the Japanese fan club site, everyone seems really good at drawing. Have you ever had special lessons in drawing?
Shah: I was actually planning to go to art school. I guess that feeling is still there.
Rutan: I've loved drawing since I was a child, and I took a little art class in elementary and junior high school.
Q. With the weather getting cooler recently, more and more Japanese tourists are visiting Korea. Are there any lesser known spots in Korea that you would recommend, or hidden gems that are just your own?
Jina: There's a delicious restaurant called YEONNAMJEONG. When we were trainees, we all ate there together.
Juhan: There are a lot of delicious restaurants and famous places around our practice room.
I recommend a restaurant in Yeongnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Wooju: A restaurant called "Shiok" in Yongsan. The manager is very kind and the food is delicious.
Q. I'm sure that all of you in the "BLITZERS" have been to Tokyo and Osaka many times during your schedule in Japan, but have you visited any other areas?
Or, are there any areas in Japan that you would love to visit? Jina: I wasn't able to buy any figures in Akihabara, so I'd like to go there again.
Juhan: I would love to go to Kyoto and Okinawa. I looked into it and it seems like a quiet and beautiful place to live.
Q. Is there a Japanese word that you like or that has left an impression on you? Please also tell us how you learned that word.
Chris: Of course. The reason is that the word "of course" sounds cute!
These words were told to us by our BLEE (fans)! Q. Are there any artists in Japan you would like to collaborate with, or actors or celebrities you would like to work with?
Chris: YOASOBI's music is so addictive, so I'd love to collaborate with them! Juhan: I'mase's "Night" was on at our Japan tour.
I'd love to meet you once, since you've covered "Dancer". Q. What made you want to become idols? Why did you start "music"?
Jina: I got interested in dancing when I saw my friends dancing at the school festival. Juhan: I started singing after seeing BEAST's "On a Rainy Day," but I was really into BTS.
Rutan: I saw them dancing at a school festival and became interested in them. Wooju: I've been listening to music since I was young, so it was natural for me to get into music.
Shah: When I was in high school, I went to a concert by iKON and I wanted to stand on that stage.
Kris: I started dreaming after watching iKON's survival show on YouTube! Q.
Are there any movies or TV series that inspired you in making music?
Please tell us if there is any work that has impressed you. It can be a book or a famous painting. Juhan: There is a movie that I used as a reference when I wrote the lyrics for the song "Ring Ring".
Rutan: The only TV series I watched to the end was "Record of Youth". After watching this TV series, I decided to try my best and not give up. Q.
What does "BLITZERS" mean to you? Jina: It's something that can't be peeled off even if you try.
Joohan: They are like another family. We have spent a long time together, so they are like family to us.
