MUSIC takes on Park, operator of the YouTube channel "Taldeok Concentration Camp"
During the first hearing of the lawsuit for damages against Park, Park claimed that he was not responsible.
This morning, Chief Judge Lee Kwanghee-jung announced that V, JUNG KOOK, and BIGHIT
MUSIC and others held the first hearing in the lawsuit against Park for damages.
In March of this year, it was reported that KOOK and others had filed a claim for 90 million won in damages against Park for defamation.
On this day, the legal representative of "BTS" said, "We are asking for responsibility for the torts regarding the false facts and violation of personal rights that were handled in the video that the defendant produced, posted, and profited from.
Meanwhile, Park's legal representative acknowledged the posting of the video, but said, "Considering the format and content, it is not defamatory as it is merely an expression of opinion and false facts."
"Even if it does amount to defamation, some of the content is not false and was produced for the public interest, so compensation liability cannot be recognized for that part," he added.
The lawsuit also claims that the charges against BIGHIT MUSIC, such as the obstruction of business, "did not amount to an infringement." Previously, BTS had filed a criminal complaint against the group.
In a statement released on June 28, BIGHIT MUSIC said that they are currently filing civil and criminal lawsuits against cyber-wreckers such as "Taldeok Camp."
MUSIC stated, "After filing a lawsuit against 'Daldeok Camp' for defamation and obstruction of business in 2022, the decision was made to discontinue the investigation, but we have secured the personnel details of 'Daldeok Camp' and provided them to the investigative authorities.
"As a result of actively requesting the resumption of the investigation, the investigation has been resumed and is currently underway," the statement said.
He is currently facing numerous lawsuits for allegedly defaming many celebrities, including "E's" Jang Wonyoung and KANGDANIEL.
Jang Won-young and STARSHIP Entertainment, who were attacked by "Daldeok Concentration Camp"
The court sided with Jang Won-young in a lawsuit filed by the company seeking damages, ordering Park to pay 100 million won, and an appeal is currently underway.
