US soldier charged with drunk driving in underground parking lot after crashing into six vehicles
A US soldier stationed in South Korea was arrested by police after he was found drunk driving in an underground parking lot of an apartment building in the early hours of the morning, crashing into multiple parked vehicles.
The Pyeongtaek Police Station in Gyeonggi Province arrested a non-commissioned officer in his 20s from the US military in Korea on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.
On the 24th, the company revealed that the officer was driving a car while drunk at around 4:30 a.m. in the underground parking lot of an apartment building in Godeok-dong, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do.
He is suspected of damaging six vehicles. No casualties were reported. At the time of the incident, Petty Officer A's blood alcohol level was so high that he would have his driver's license revoked.
Police have handed the custody of Petty Officer A over to the U.S. Military Police, while they are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
