Justin Saint-Tron founder offers $1 million for the release of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, who was arrested by French police
Justin Sun announced on the 26th through X (formerly Twitter) that he would donate 100,000 yen to a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).
"We must organize a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) and demand the release of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov," he said.
He added that he would donate $1 million to the DAO if it is built in a decentralized manner with the support of the community.
Earlier, the French police's Office for the Combating Crimes Against Minors (OFMIN) announced that it had established a special unit to combat fraud, drug trafficking, cyber violence and organized crime.
An initial investigation into crimes including criminal and terrorist abetment has revealed that an arrest warrant has been issued for Durov, who is considered a coordinating agency.
When news of Durov's arrest broke, the price of Telegram coins, also known as "tons," plummeted by around 15%.
