The Financial Supervisory Service and the Bank of Korea announced on the 1st that they plan to conduct a nationwide financial literacy survey targeting 2,400 households nationwide from the 2nd to November 1st.
The survey was conducted based on the standards established by the OECD-affiliated INFE to measure the financial literacy of Korean adults (aged 18-79).
The survey will measure the level of financial and economic literacy in the country and will be used to set a direction for financial and economic education and to make comparisons between OECD countries. The survey results are scheduled to be released in the first quarter of next year.
