[Official] ”SEVENTEEN” MIN-GYU, unofficial revealing photos leaked... L'Occitane: ”The relevant employees have been placed on standby”
While SEVENTEEN member MIN-GYU was working as a L'Occitane ambassador, L'Occitane Korea apologized for the leaking of revealing photos.
On the 3rd, L'Occitane Korea posted on their official SNS, "Recently, in connection with the L'Occitane Asia Ambassador campaign, unofficial photos were taken of our employees without permission.
There is no room for excuses regarding the incident that was posted on our social media account, and we accept full responsibility and apologize."
They continued, "We take this matter very seriously and apologize to the artists and fans who were hurt by this incident.
"We sincerely apologize to the employee," the company said. "We immediately removed the employee from all work and a personnel investigation (placed him on standby) has been conducted."
Finally, "We will implement a brand ambassador artist licensing program for all employees to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
"We will implement a long-term education program on the importance of copyrights, image rights, publicity rights and privacy rights, and ensure that all employees thoroughly understand and comply with these rights."
Meanwhile, a L'Occitane Korea employee captured and released revealing photos of MIN-GYU that appear to have been taken during an advertisement shoot. At the same time, he wrote, "MIN-GYU took up a large part of the photobook.
I was worried so I couldn't delete it, but I think I'll sort it out now," he wrote, leading to fans pointing out that this was illegal.
