「釜山交際殺人」…凶器を準備して元恋人の自宅に行き殺害
”Busan dating murder”... Prepared a weapon and went to his former lover's home to kill him
It has been revealed that the murder of a woman in her 20s that occurred in Busan on the 3rd was a "dating crime" committed by a man in his 30s after his ex-girlfriend rejected his request to get back together with her.
According to the Busan YOUNG JAE Police Station on the 4th, at around 7:36 pm on the 3rd, a man in his 30s, suspect A, was arrested after a sexual assault with his ex-girlfriend at an officetel (a residential office) in Yeonje-gu, Busan.
After stabbing and killing B, a woman in her 20s, with a deadly weapon, suspect A reported to the police directly after committing the crime, saying that he had "killed his girlfriend," and was then arrested by the police while sitting on the railing of the rooftop.
During police investigation, suspect A stated that he had demanded to meet his ex-girlfriend again, which led to a fight and led to the crime.
Suspect A, who had been in a relationship with B for about a year and was recently dumped by B, is looking to get back together.
On the day of the incident, he visited B's house to demand that B meet him again. However, B refused A's request to meet him again, and after that, a fight broke out and A left his house with a prepared weapon.
He brandished the container at B. Considering that suspect A had prepared the murder weapon in advance, the police are also investigating the possibility that the crime was planned.
Police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for suspect A on suspicion of murder this afternoon.
Meanwhile, according to the National Police Agency, the number of suspects charged with dating violence in South Korea over the past five years has decreased from 9,823 in 2019 to 8,951 in 2020.
However, the number has been increasing every year, to 10,538 in 2021, 12,828 in 2022, and 13,939 last year.
