John E Deaton, a lawyer known for promoting Ripple (XRP), won the Mesachsetts primary election on the 3rd (local time).
With this primary victory, Deaton will reportedly be running against "anti-cryptocurrency" Senator Elizabeth Warren in November.
Prior to this, Ripple donated about $1 million to Deaton's year-end Senate campaign in July.
Deaton wrote in July that "the move that best indicates Vice President Kamala Hari Su's change of stance on cryptocurrencies is her decision to appoint SEC Secretary Gary Gensler.
