音楽で親交を深めた日韓ファーストレディー…一緒にK-POPエンタ社を訪問
The first ladies of Japan and Korea deepened their friendship through music… they visited a K-pop entertainment company together
Kim Gun-Hee, wife of South Korean President Yoon Seok-youl, visited a K-pop entertainment company on the 6th along with Yuko Kishida, wife of visiting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The two had conversations with Japanese trainees in Korea who are aiming to become K-POP idols, as well as singers from the company who are about to make their Japanese debut. Kim asked one Japanese trainee what made him come to Korea.
When asked about his plans, the trainee replied, "I was moved by BTS' performance and decided to come to Korea." Kim said, "Many young people are working hard to pursue their dreams, but I'm glad to be here.
"I'm glad that these artists have come to Korea to pursue their dreams," he said. "Korea and Japan have a lot in common culturally, and when Japanese and Korean artists come together, the power of Asian culture will be strong."
"You are all working hard as part of the globally popular K-POP, and are the pride of Japan," Kishida said. "Thanks to your efforts, the people of Korea and Japan have come to love each other.
Kim encouraged the trainees of his home country's former members by saying, "As the silver generation around the world increases, the silver market in the music industry will also become very large."
He also suggested, "It would be good to try to develop a silver demographic for K-POP as well." In response, the company's CEO said, "We are very grateful that Mr. Kim proposed this new business venture."
