Shinsegae Department Store opens world's first exclusive sales area for luxury champagne ”Dom Perignon” in Korea

Shinsegae Department Store has opened a sales outlet exclusively for French champagne makers Krug and Dom Pérignon in the House of Shinsegae Wine Cellar, a cultural complex in the Gangnam branch.
Krug and Dom Pérignon are both part of the French Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMN) group, which also operates famous fashion brands.
The House of Shinsegae Wine Cellar will be the first in the world to set up an Exclusive sales area for these wines. The Korean wine market has entered a period of maturity, but the demand for fine wines continues to grow.
In the first half of 2024, sales of wines priced at 300,000 won or more at Shinsegae Department Store are expected to increase by 84% compared to the same period in 2023, and sales of wines priced at 1 million won or more are expected to increase by 100%.
The sales of wines from Krug and Dom Pérignon increased by 79%, respectively.

The store will also stock hard-to-find products such as Krug Champagne (approximately 481,394 yen). The store will offer customers who purchase Krug Champagne a specially made Krug Champagne in collaboration with a famous chef.
