Suyeong (SNSD) is upset that she can't be the center of her group... ”I know Yuna is pretty... but I have legs too”

Sooyoung, a member of Korean girl group Girls' Generation and also an actress, revealed the pain of not being the centre of the group.

　On the 9th September, a video was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Tong Haemul and Baektuunyuk’ with the title ‘Sosi (=Girls’ Generation) & Shuju (=Super Junior) get together and talk about memories alone for 30 minutes (Oh, happy funny this is the best)'.

　On this day, Sooyoung, a guest, recalled the process of Girls' Generation's formation. Soo Yeon said "YoonA, Yuri and SoHyun formed a triangle composition. I didn't have that. I didn't have the qualities to play a central position. I just thought, ‘Oh well, I'll just have to work hard until the end’," she said, "but the more I worked, the more this became a bit..." and the more time passed, the more she began to think more and more about the amount of work she had to do.

　Woonyuk also reflected on his activities in ‘SUPER JUNIOR’ and said, "It's really true that once this is decided, it goes on forever. I think that depending on the song, another person could take the centre stage," he shared. Sooyoung also said, "I was wondering if you could give me a little chance too" and added, "Even though I have legs too. In a case like ‘Genie’, you could do something like this. But I've become very immobilised," she confided.

　Sooyoung added "Who doesn't know? Who doesn't know that YoonA is cute? You know. You know she's cute!’ She then let out a burst of exasperation and said, ‘Even if I rotate a bit (it's fine), I'm still cute. 　When asked if she protested about this, Sooyoung told another episode. She said "When we sing, we already know our parts. When I was a trainee, all the trainers were surprised when I hit the high notes of my sister Pada (S.E.S.). But suddenly a talented singer from Jeonju, Taeyeon came in with great enthusiasm," and revealed that Taeyeon became one of the main vocalists.

　She continued, "I tried to find my way in life and danced enthusiastically, but this also fixed my vocal ability as a trainee when I was a trainee, once I debuted. I put a little point towards dance. But on the dance side, there was God Hyoyeon, and on the singing side, there was God Taeyeon’", and she revealed that she actively appealed to the public, saying, “I think it was around the seventh anniversary of the album, and I asked for the opportunity to sing from beginning to end, before giving me a part”.

　Sooyoung added, "A&R said, “Dare?” '. It was awkward. I've been active for about seven years, but they said I had to take the test as if I were a trainee. ‘Dare?’ I was a little hesitant, but I didn't want to give up at this point, so I appealed that I would still try to sing. Then I was given a part, but it was a rap part. It seems that the part had already been decided from the beginning," she said, eliciting laughter.
