Heads of research support organizations from Japan, China and Korea meet in Korea

The National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) held the 21st Japan-China-Korea Research Support Institution Heads Conference in Seoul on the 10th. The conference was attended by NRF Chairman Lee Kwang-bok, representatives from Japan and China,
The event was attended by Tsuyoshi Sugino, president of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), a research support organization, and Dou Xiankang, president of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

The three leaders shared their practical efforts, research, and achievements to build a healthy academic and research ecosystem.
"It is a very timely topic to discuss the role of research support organizations in creating a world that addresses various global issues, such as low growth, improving the quality of life of our people, and climate change," he said.
"In order to resolve this issue, not only researchers but also research support organizations will take the lead in these efforts."
