"It's so similar to 'Luck' that it's almost like a movie," he said. In addition, thanks to the global success of "Squid Game," Netflix is considering developing a reality TV show, an immersive experience, and other entertainment content.
He also said that the release of raw content was a continuous violation of his copyright. Soham Shah said that "Squid Game" increased Netflix's market value by $900 million (South Korea's U.S.
The lawsuit claims that Netflix has increased its revenue by more than 1.2 trillion won (approximately 1.2 trillion won) and demands damages for the loss.
They also requested that an injunction be issued to prevent copyright infringement, preventing them from making profits through the sale of related products and content development.
However, a Netflix spokesperson refuted the allegations, calling them "baseless." They said, "'Squid Game' is directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
"It is a work written and created by me, and we will vigorously defend against this case." With "Squid Game" season 2 set to be released this year, the outcome of the lawsuit remains to be seen.
