A fishing boat capsized in the sea near Sibidonpa Island in Gunsan City, North Jeolla Province, South Korea, and eight crew members were rescued by the Coast Guard, but three of them died.

The Coast Guard said that at the time of the accident, an oil tanker (1,618 ton class) was passing near the fishing boat.
Based on witness accounts of a collision between two ships, they are investigating the possibility of a collision between two ships.
