Korean boy band EXO's BAEK HYUN has made a public apology amid controversy over smoking indoors.
A video of Hyun smoking indoors went viral. In the video, he was seen smoking and exhaling smoke while talking to staff, which caused a problem.
In response to this, BAEK HYUN's management office INB100 stated on the 16th, "We are currently investigating the issue of our artist BAEK HYUN being spread online.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to HYUN smoking indoors."
"HYUN and the staff had no idea that e-cigarettes were prohibited in Macau," he said, "and after the concert in Macau, I went out to eat with the staff.
"As the conversation got more interesting, I unconsciously started using an e-cigarette," he explained.
HYUN deeply apologizes for disappointing many fans with his careless behavior.
"Our company and BAEK HYUN will be even more careful to prevent this from happening again in the future and to ensure that fans are not disappointed by this situation.
