ウクライナのドローン攻撃で「ロシアの軍用倉庫」が爆発…北のミサイルも貯蔵
Ukraine drone attack causes explosion at Russian military warehouse, where North Korean missiles are also stored
"Ukrainian forces used a drone to destroy a Russian military warehouse where missiles and other equipment were stored on the 18th (local time)," AFP and Associated Press reported, citing a Ukrainian security official.
According to these reports, the area is 380 km northwest of Moscow and about 500 km from the Ukrainian border, near Toropets in the Tver region.
The Ukrainian military has also been attacking a weapons depot, which is believed to have been hit by a drone and exploded, causing a fire.
The Associated Press reported that "Ukrainian security authorities said North Korean-made short-range ballistic missiles, called KN-16s, were also being stored in the warehouse."
The drone strike caused a huge firestorm and a chain of explosions.
Reuters reported that "NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) detected a 14-kilometer area around the explosion site at the time of the air raid.
"We detected strong heat in the area and even detected tremors that were believed to be small earthquakes," the Russian side also acknowledged the airstrike. The governor of Tver oblast said, "A drone was dropped on the Toropets area.
Although it fell, only minor injuries were reported, and no serious injuries or fatalities were reported."
