The popularity of Kim Soo-hyeon and Kim Ji-woon's "Queen of Tears" has swept the world in the first half of this year. The TV series is being released as a non-English content on the global OTT service Netflix.
It rose to 4th place among the top 10 works, the highest ranking among K-contents. On the 20th, Netflix released its engagement report for the first half of this year.
According to a survey, the most popular K-content in the world this year was "Queen of Tears," which recorded a total of 29 million views.
Netflix's "Current Viewing Report" is a report that measures the viewing time and number of views (total viewing time divided by total running time) for all titles viewed for at least 50,000 hours every six months.
In the first half of this year, Netflix saw countless content streams for approximately 94 billion viewing hours.
Non-English content accounted for approximately 30% of total viewership.
The top English content was Spain's "Bonds in the Snowy Mountains," which recorded 104 million views, followed by Berlin (49 million views) and Assunta Bas (3rd place).
