韓国と北の核心友邦国「キューバ」が国交樹立後、初の外相会談を “実現”
The first foreign ministers' meeting between South Korea and Cuba, a key ally of the North, was held since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Cuba, a key ally of South and North Korea, will hold its first foreign ministers' meeting in the seven months since diplomatic relations were established.
Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol, who is visiting the United States to attend the Japan-Cuba summit, will meet with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez in New York on the 24th (local time).
South Korea officially established diplomatic relations with Cuba, a key ally of North Korea, on February 14th of this year (local time).
At the meeting, the two countries are scheduled to hold a wide-ranging discussion on the direction of bilateral relations, including the opening of each other's permanent diplomatic missions, as well as the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
