July births increase to the highest in 12 years...Marriage increase rate also reaches highest level in the same month = Korea

The number of newborns was 20,601, an increase of 1,516 (7.9%) from the same month last year. Looking at the historical July figures, the increase in the number of newborns is the largest in 12 years since 2012 (an increase of 1,959).
The rate of increase was the second highest after July 2007, when the figure was 12.4%. However, the cumulative number of births this year was 137,913, a 1.2% decrease from last year.
The number of births in July was higher than the previous year, but this was held back by declines in other months. Meanwhile, the number of marriages in July was 18,811, an increase of 4,658 (32.9%) from the same month last year.
This is the largest increase for a July date since monthly statistics began in 1981.
