Junsu (Xia), immediately returned to Korea after BIGBANG appeared... ”I sensed a crisis, and the song that came out was 'Spell'”
Singer Kim Junsu had a crisis (?) when he saw the group ‘BIGBANG’ on stage during his idol career. He intuited the ‘Spell - MIROTIC’, a legendary song that was born as a result of this, and will also perform a dance along with the signature dance behind the story of the song.
MBC's ‘Radio Star’ will be broadcast today (25th) and will feature Kim Kyung-il, Junsu, GABEE and Lee Chang-ho.
Ahead of the broadcast, the programme will include the following questions: ‘Kim Junsu, was there a moment when you had a gut feeling of a crisis in your idol days? (feat. legendary spell choreography SSUL)'.
MC Kim Gura asked, "Was there a moment when you intuited a crisis while doing idol activities?" Junsu replied, "I had solid popularity during my idol group activities, but one day, I decided to focus on Japan for a period of two years. But just at that time, ‘BIGBANG’ debuted," he replied.
He added "We always changed rivals. (Our rivals) weren't as pressured, but when we saw ‘Lies’ on stage for the first time, they were cool to watch us. We were synchronised dancing and they were freewheeling, but it was also great. I felt a sense of crisis for the first time while watching them," he recalled. He surprised them by saying that their Japanese activities were a big hit and they wanted to continue further activities in Japan, but the appearance of ‘BIGBANG’ made them come back to Korea earlier than planned.
Junsu revealed, "The music we put out was 'Spell'," recognising that the times had changed without sticking to the music we had done. He revealed that they received dances from five teams (three foreign teams and two Korean teams) and only selected the best parts to create the dance, which was an unusual attempt at the time.
Junsu also surprised the audience by revealing, "This is the first time I'm speaking officially, but I created the signature dance." The signature dance was the legendary Killing Part, in which he grabbed his chin and rode the rhythm. He recalled how the members were initially intimidated by it, but when they all stood together and watched it, the atmosphere was great. The next preview shows Junsu performing the ‘Spell’ dance, which he created himself, raising expectations for the broadcast.
Meanwhile, ‘Radio Star’ featuring Junsu will be broadcast in South Korea on the 25th at 10:30pm.
