A man in his 40s who had been punished nine times for drunk driving and driving without a license was arrested after causing another accident while drunk driving.
The Chuncheon Police Station in Gangwon, South Korea, has issued a report on dangerous driving resulting in injury under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Certain Crimes.
On the 26th, the police announced that they had arrested suspect A (49), who was drunk and ran a red light at an intersection in Hupyeong-dong, Chuncheon City, at around 8:50 pm on the 1st.
He is suspected of driving while wearing a face mask, colliding with another vehicle that was passing through an intersection because the light was green, causing injuries to the victim that required approximately two weeks of treatment.
At the time of his arrest, Suspect A's blood alcohol concentration was 0.290%, which is above the limit for license revocation (0.08% or above).
The police plan to refer suspect A to the prosecutor's office.
