On the 1st, according to the bereaved family, Jeon Sook (real name: Jeon Gap-rye) passed away at around 4:20 a.m. on the 29th in Incheon, where a funeral service was held on the 1st January and she was laid to rest in a wooden grave in Incheon.

The late Jeon Sook, born in 1926, made his debut in the film ‘Phoenix Hill’ in 1955 and played supporting and minor roles in films and dramas for about 60 years. She appeared in more than 500 films alone.

The late Jeon Sook received a special acting award at the 30th Daejong Awards Film Festival in 1992 and was named a Distinguished Filmmaker at the 39th Film Day Commemoration Ceremony in 2001.

The late Jeon Sook's last film was the 2018 film ‘That's All There Is in My World’ starring Lee Byung Hun and Park Jung Min, in which the late Jung Suk played the role of an old woman in a hospital room.

Director Shin Jung-kyun, who had worked with the deceased, said "Perhaps not many film fans remember them; by 2013, she had appeared in 498 films. No one would call him a star of the film industry. But I think she was an indispensable part of the film industry. I applaud the late Mrs Jeon Sook, who devoted all his passion and life to the film industry," he said in memory of the deceased.
