The Gwangyang Fire Station in Jeollanam-do announced at around 11:10 a.m. on the 1st that
The Gwangyang Fire Department responded to a call that someone was trying to jump off the 23rd floor rooftop of a part-time job and rescued a teenage girl. At the time, the Gwangyang Fire Department mobilized five rescue teams and ladder trucks to the scene.
The drone spotted a 19-year-old woman perched precariously on the edge of a rooftop. Rescue teams quickly cut down a tree in a flowerbed to create space and placed air mattresses on the roof.
Two mattresses and two regular mattresses were installed. The teenage girl then jumped off the roof but landed in the middle of the mattresses, causing her to hit the store sign and fall to the ground.
The woman was quickly taken to the hospital by a waiting ambulance. She had been in a verbal argument with her boyfriend, which led to her taking the action.
The Gwangyang Fire Department said, "The woman was discharged from the hospital in good health without any abnormalities."
"This is thanks to the ongoing inspection of air mattresses and training on how to apply them to high-rise buildings."
