South Korea was the ”largest investor in the U.S.” last year and also created the most jobs
"Which country invested the most in the United States last year? Which country created the most jobs in the United States last year?" South Korean Ambassador to the United States Cho Hyun-dong said on the 2nd (local time) at the US World Trade Organization's press conference.
The question above was asked to the audience at the "Korea National Day and Armed Forces Day Reception" held in Sinton DC. The remark was intended to elicit the answer "Korea" and emphasize U.S.-ROK cooperation.

Speaking on behalf of the U.S. side, Secretary of the Navy Carlos del Toro emphasized, "We are grateful for the hospitality and support that South Korea has shown for the continued presence of U.S. troops in South Korea."
"We are very grateful for the support we receive from the U.S. Congressman Don Beyer, who said, "South Korea is a key and increasingly important partner," and has been working to improve the situation not only with regard to North Korea but also with regard to Taiwan.
He spoke about areas of U.S.-ROK security cooperation, including peace and stability in the Strait and Russia's aggression in Ukraine.
