At around 5:20 a.m. on the same day, a light vehicle entered the expressway to avoid an oncoming vehicle at the Bupyeong Interchange on the Gyeongin Expressway in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.

The man in his 70s who was driving the truck was taken to hospital, but was confirmed dead.
The three passengers in the vehicle were also injured and are currently undergoing treatment. While the accident was being handled, traffic jams occurred on the Gyeongin Expressway heading towards Seoul for about two hours.
According to a police investigation, the Chinese woman was on her way to work at a construction site in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon when she was driving a car with a navigation system.
She said she misunderstood the directions and took the wrong road. Police have booked the woman under suspicion of causing death or injury under the Special Act on Traffic Accidents, and are currently investigating the details of how the accident occurred.
