Prior to this, ARUM had said, "My husband dropped our child, who was not even one year old, off a table and hit and pushed our five-year-old child.
She also accused her former husband of child abuse, accusing him of spitting in the child's face and other cruel acts. However, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office said it had insufficient evidence to "deny indictment for the charges."
On the contrary, the court stated that it was suspicious of the inconsistencies in the victim's testimony and that it was suspected that ARUM had exerted pressure on her.
ARUM's mother, Ms. A, was indicted along with ARUM on suspicion of soliciting the abduction of a minor. The prosecution then sought to deny ARUM and his mother housing and childcare.
The court ordered a temporary ban on approaching the suspect within 100 meters of the suspect. Meanwhile, ARUM married in 2019 and has two sons, but announced in December last year that he was in the process of filing for divorce.
