Paramount theme park to open in 2029 in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province (South Korea)

Shinsegae Hwaseong, a subsidiary of the Shinsegae Group, held a global intellectual property rights attraction declaration ceremony with Gyeonggi Province, Hwaseong City, and Paramount Pictures.
Shinsegae Hwaseong is currently located in the Green City area of Songsan, Hwaseong City, covering a site of 4.2 million square meters.
In addition to the 1.19 million square meter entertainment facility, the Starfield shopping mall, golf courses, hotels, resorts, and apartment complexes will be integrated into the Hwaseong International Theme Park.
The area is currently undergoing the approval process to be designated a tourist area by Gyeonggi Province.
The project is currently underway, with the aim of opening in 2029. The theme park will allow visitors to experience the world of Paramount's content, and is a place that will attract both Korean and international tourists.
The aim is to make it a theme park that represents Asia and is a place where people can enjoy themselves. Paramount will be directly involved in the design, and the facility will be built using the latest technology and Paramount content.
In addition to various shows, they will also develop content specific to "Star Bay City." The expected number of visitors per year is 30 million.
