U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Mark Uyeda has pointed out that the SEC's approach to regulating cryptocurrencies is flawed.

"We are currently enforcing cryptocurrency policies," he said, arguing that "clear guidelines must be provided before enforcement action is initiated."
