The National Bureau of Statistics of China announced the September Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the 13th. According to the report, the national CPI rose 0.4% year-on-year in September.
Industrial prices rose 0.4% in the Philippines and 0.6% in rural areas. Food prices increased 3.3%, non-food prices decreased 0.2%, consumer goods prices increased 0.5%, and service prices increased 0.2%.
Looking at the average for January to September, the national CPI rose 0.3% compared to the same period last year. Among food prices, the price of pork increased 16.2% compared to the same month last year, fresh vegetables increased 22.9%, and fruit increased 6.
The national CPI for September remained at the same level as the previous month, down 0.1% in urban areas and up 0.1% in rural areas. Food prices increased 0.8% and non-food prices increased 0.2%.
Prices of pork, fresh vegetables, and fruit increased by 0.4%, 4.3%, and 2.1%, respectively, compared to the previous month.
