Elevator worker dies in 5-star hotel after ”falling” from 12th floor to 2nd basement floor (South Korea)

A man in his 30s who was replacing an elevator at a five-star hotel in Incheon, South Korea, fell to his death from the 12th floor.
According to the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Unit on the 14th, at around 5:36 pm on the same day, a man working for an elevator construction company was killed in a fire at a five-star hotel in Incheon.
Mr. A (in his 30s), a member of the company, fell from the 12th floor to the 2nd basement floor. Mr. A, who fell while in an elevator, was taken to the hospital by an ambulance but eventually died.
It is believed that Mr. A was involved in the accident while working on removing the hotel's elevator in order to replace it. Police have obtained further information from witnesses and elevator construction company personnel.
The police plan to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. A police official said, "We plan to ask the National Forensic Service to perform an autopsy on Mr. A's body to confirm the cause of death."
