US presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Hari Su has expressed support for the cryptocurrency community as part of her "Opportunity Economy" plan.
Cointelegraph reported on the 14th (local time) that Ha Ri Su is meeting with black entrepreneurs in Erie, Pennsylvania, to promote black-owned small businesses, crypto assets and digital assets.
Ha Ri Su campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond said he plans to discuss the issue of federal marijuana law, the regulation of marijuana ownership, and support for federal marijuana legalization.
"The Vice President's announcement is part of his commitment to the opportunity economy," he said in a statement to NPR's former broadcaster in Pennsylvania.
Richmond said Ha Ri Su was trying to shore up support among black male voters by promoting black voters.
It says it is committed to building an economy that equips men with the tools to thrive, buy homes, raise families, start businesses and accumulate wealth.
The image of Ha Ri Su supporting an anti-cryptocurrency policy has been growing since the presidential election campaign got into full swing.
Recently, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen said in a statement to Harris-Walz that
He donated approximately $1 million in XRP to the 2024 presidential election campaign.
