”Seoul-Tokyo Forum” to be held in Seoul from 16th to 18th (South Korea)
The city of Seoul in South Korea announced on the 15th that it will hold the Seoul-Tokyo Forum from the 16th to the 18th to find solutions for water management in large cities.
The Seoul-Tokyo Forum was established in 2007 as a forum for the exchange of information on water management policies and research between the two cities.
Seoul City, the University of Seoul, Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Metropolitan University are participating. This year's forum will be held by Seoul Alice Headquarters, the public organization that manages the water supply in Seoul, the University of Seoul, Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan University.
The Waterworks Bureau, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and Fujitecom, a Japanese leak detection company, will participate in the forum. On the first day of the forum (16th), Seoul City and Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold a meeting at the Seoul Alice headquarters to discuss water management issues.
On the 17th, an international seminar titled "Challenges and Solutions for Water Management in Megacities" will be held at the International Conference Room of the Natural Science Museum at the University of Seoul.
On the final day, the 18th, the participants visited the Alice Field Training Center, Korea's largest waterworks field training center, located within the Alice Water Purification Center in Gangbuk, and the Hangang River site.
"We hope that this forum will serve as an opportunity to diagnose the water management issues facing large cities and find sensible solutions," said Seoul Director Alice.
