”BTS” J-HOPE, who ”gathered together one by one”, will be discharged today (17th)
J-HOPE, a member of the group BTS, has completed his military service and is returning to ARMY.
Today (17th), BTS' J-HOPE (real name: Jung Ho-seok) completed his military service and was discharged.
He is the second member of the group to return to the entertainment industry, following his eldest brother JIN. J-HOPE enlisted in the Army's 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Wonju, Gangwon Province, in April last year.
After entering the military, he received basic military training and began his military service as an active duty soldier in the army. J-HOPE served as an assistant instructor in the unit and was awarded the "Special Class Warrior" qualification, which is given to conscripts with the best combat abilities, and was promoted to the rank of "Special Class Warrior" early on.
He has been living a faithful military life, including being promoted. Last June, he won the top prize at the "2024 Strong Warrior, Army! Presentation Contest" held at the War Memorial of Japan.
Last September, as his discharge drew near, J-Hope wrote on the fan community Weverse, "I used to resent the time, but now I feel a deep affection for him."
"Looking back, it was nothing special, but I wonder why I was so nervous and stiff at the time. When I saw the new recruits coming in, I felt a certain amount of sympathy for them, and I felt like I was like them.

Meanwhile, RM and V will be discharged on June 19th, 2025, while JIMIN and JUNGKOOK will complete their service on the 11th of the same month.
Suga is also scheduled to be discharged in the same month.
