According to data recently released by China's Ministry of Commerce, more than 20 million people have applied for the home appliance replacement policy, and the number of people who have purchased eligible home appliances has exceeded 10 million.
In August of this year, the Ministry of Commerce and four other departments issued a "Notice on Replacement of Home Appliances," which stipulated that consumers would receive subsidies when purchasing eligible home appliances.
As of October 15, 20,667,000 people had applied for the subsidy, and 10,134,000 consumers had actually purchased the eligible home appliances.
The total number of vehicles sold is 4.624 million. Subsidies of 13.17 billion formers (approximately 276.4 billion yen) have been paid out so far, and the total consumption has reached 69.09 billion formers (approximately 1.45 trillion yen).
