A miraculous collaboration between ROSE and global superstar Bruno Mars...Releasing their new collaborative song ”APT.”
ROSE, the main vocalist and global icon of Korean girl group BLACKPINK, and Bruno Mars, the 15-time Grammy Award-winning global superstar, have released a collaboration song ‘APT( read Apateu).’ today (18th). The music video was released at the same time. The video was directed by Daniel Ramos, who also directed the music video for Bruno and Lady Gaga's collaboration ‘Die With A Smile’.
‘APT.’ is the lead single from ROSE's first studio album ‘rosie’, due for release on Friday 6th December, and was produced by Bruno, who also sings on the track, which has a catchy and memorable melody. The song is also characterised by the phrase ‘Apateu’ (meaning flat in Korean), which appears at the beginning of the song and in the chorus, and is derived from the ‘Apateu game’, a popular drinking game among young people in South Korea.
‘‘Apateu’ is my favourite Korean drinking game that I play with my friends in my hometown. It's very simple, it makes everyone smile, and it's a game that can quickly bring people together at any party," says ROSE. "One night I taught the game to my crew in the studio and they were really interested in it, especially when I started shouting ‘Apateu’. So we were all joking around and I suggested ‘let's make a song out of it’... then Bruno joined in on the track and it all started from there."
The album ‘rosie’ consists of 12 tracks and is her most personal and honest work to date. All songs were written and produced by ROSE herself, and the album is available for pre-order now.
