One of J-HOPE's fanclubs released the contents of the message through SNS X on the 17th, saying, ‘Lieutenant Colonel Jang Min Chul, Battalion Commander of the Recruit Education Corps, who remembered the “To ARMY, by ARMY” event, sent me a message. The ‘To ARMY, by ARMY’ event took place in February, when fans offered free coffee to soldiers at a café in Wonju to celebrate J-HOPE's birthday, and Lt Col Jang Min-chul at the time expressed his gratitude to the fans.
Through a message sent to J-HOPE, Lieutenant Colonel Jang Min-cheol said, "Thank you very much for the execution of the assistant professor mission for the training of strong soldiers, it was really nice and thank you. I will never forget the precious memories of working hard for the training of the strong soldiers together with Captain Jung Ho-seok. I will once again support you in your activities for the development of K-POP in the Republic of Korea, and hope and support you as a true ARMY. You are the Republic of Korea," sending congratulations and encouragement.
Lt Col Jang Min-cheol also extended his greetings to the fans of J-HOPE, saying, "Thank you for supporting Pvt Jung Ho-seok and the Recruit Education Battalion so far". He also said, "Like my last message to Ho-Seok, I will support Pvt Jung Ho-Seok as a true ARMY, so please protect Ho-Seok well, fans. Thank you very much. Loyalty", warming the hearts of the audience.
The beauty in the congratulatory messages of J-HOPE's fellow soldiers was also a topic of discussion. In a Weverse live broadcast made immediately after his discharge, J-HOPE revealed a large rolling paper of his discharge celebration, which was carefully prepared by the former officers and soldiers of the White Tiger Corps.
In the rolling paper, J-HOPE wrote "My brother has always been the focal point and atmosphere of unity in our company and among our peers, and he has been a vitamin and a great adviser. The following statement caught my attention "I am proudest of my life that I carried out the waterfront with my brother." From his fellow soldiers to senior military officers, all testified to J-HOPE's sincere and exemplary military life.
In addition to this, the photo J-HOPE published on SNS also included a letter of appointment as a ‘same-age adviser’, which was a surprise to the public. This is a supplementary position that helps colleagues by detecting difficulties at an early stage, and must undergo regular training and even carry out tasks such as preparing interview diaries. J-HOPE even took on the ‘same-age adviser’ post while carrying out his assistant teacher duties, which require him to wake up earlier and sleep later than the soldiers.
J-HOPE said "My feet froze in winter and I had to spend two hot summers, but I have no regrets about living as an assistant in Wonju. My heart is full because it was not easy to carry out my various duties as an assistant. I got on well with the generals like a family, the facilities were good and the food was delicious. Although there was a 10-year age difference between me and the recruits, they were kind, cute and nice, so it was interesting."
J-HOPE told fans "I'm going to let you walk down the flower road now." Not ‘Gom Shin (girlfriend whose boyfriend is in military service)’, but Gok Shin (flower) Shin’, warning them of their active activities after their discharge from the military.
