The index for the semiconductor industry was expected to be strong in November, but it dropped 32 points from the previous month's 156.
The index for automobiles and steel rose 26 and 22 points, respectively, from the previous month, raising hopes for an economic recovery. The index for home appliances (67), textiles (80), machinery (94), and displays (93) were also down.
It did not reach the benchmark of 100. Meanwhile, the manufacturing business conditions index for October recorded 105, exceeding the benchmark for the 15th consecutive month and also showing an increase from the previous month's level of 100.
