On the 1094th episode of KBS2's “Gag Concert” broadcast on the 20th, the second edition of the “Gag Concert in JAPAN” unfolded. On this broadcast, comedians from Korea and Japan gave viewers a good laugh with a variety of gags that utilised their own styles.
The Japanese comedians also had a variety of performances. Yuji Kiyokawa, known as ‘Super Rookie’ in the Japanese gag world, performed a ‘technician gag’ in which he played with a traditional Japanese toy while holding a harmonica in his mouth.
Kim Yong-hee, the ‘tongue-tied grandmother’ of the ‘King of Communication Marjababa’ corner, took on the problems of the Japanese audience and offered clear solutions on the spot, drawing laughter to the end of the ‘Gag Concert in JAPAN’.
In particular, Ha Yong Soo, who is currently active in Japan, appeared on ‘Marja Baba, King of Communication’ on that day and told her worries about whether ‘activities in Japan are suitable for me’. Kim Yong-hee then said, "I think activities in Japan suit me better than in any other country", referring to Ha Yong-soo's nickname ‘Zenigame (Squirtle)’ from ‘Pokemon’.
The ‘Gag Concert in Japan’ ended on a high note. Kim Yong-hee said "Laughter is a universal language. Laughter can be understood worldwide." Other comedians from Korea and Japan also wished for the ‘Gag Concert in JAPAN’ to be held again, saying that they hoped it would not be a one-off event but would continue, and that they would like to have such an opportunity again.
Meanwhile, ‘Gag Concert’ will be broadcast every Sunday at 10:40pm.
