Im Siwan, whose photo shoot and interview were released on the 21st, is currently filming the Netflix movie "Mantis."
When asked about the strong atmosphere embedded in the humid weather and gloomy expressions, Siwan replied, "Not necessarily. I don't think it's a typical gloomy and silent character, but a fan-like character.
"You'll get to see a stylish killer who loves to have fun," he said, teasing the charms of the new killer he will show.
Did you work hard to perform a lot of action scenes in the movie "Praying Mantis"?
In response to a question about his role, he said, "I attended an action school before I started working on this project. I also studied boxing and kickboxing."
In a previous interview, he said that the thing he couldn't understand the most was "exercise addiction." He said, "I still can't understand exercise addiction.
"I'm looking for a project that interests me because I need to be managed as a director," he said frankly.
When asked which character he is most similar to, he answered, "I think Byung-tae from the TV series 'Boys' Generation' is the closest to my real self. He tries to act cool, but there's a subtle pathetic side to him."
He continued, "Sometimes I seem like a very cheerful person, but at other times I think I'm a serious person. Since I have big emotional fluctuations, I think a strange guy suits me."
The much-anticipated "Squid Game Season 2" will be released at the end of the year. When asked if he felt any pressure to appear in a popular series, Siwan said, "I'm really grateful.
I was happy and honored to be appearing in a production that has raised the value and dignity of Korean content, and rather than feeling pressure, I thought it was the greatest compliment I could receive as an actor, so I decided to appear without hesitation.
The photo shoot and interview showcasing Siwan's versatility will be published in the November issue of "Singles" and the website.
