Northern Data considering selling cryptocurrency mining business ”Peak Mining”

Northern Data, a leading provider of AI and high-performance computing (HPC) solutions
AG (Frankfurt Stock Exchange: NB2) has acquired Peak, an existing cryptocurrency mining operation.
On the 22nd, the company announced that it was considering selling Peak Mining. If Peak Mining were to be sold, Northern
Data includes Europe's largest generative AI cloud platform and a portfolio of innovative purpose-built data centers.
This will strengthen Nordic's position as a pure-play AI solutions company.
Following third-quarter 2024 financial results, Data is accelerating innovation opportunities and delivering the highest-quality, most sustainable infrastructure and tools its customers need.
The company aims to develop the next chapter of AI innovation by acquiring PeakMining.
Investing in the development and growth of its AI product platform, including Dynamic Enablement Services, to add new software capabilities and a range of managed services
Northern Data also plans to invest in acquiring and developing data centers and purchasing additional AI GPUs.
