A man in his 20s wanted on suspicion of violating the Military Service Act fled when prosecutors stormed into his home, but fell from a height of five stories.

A report was received that a man, Mr. A, had fallen from a one-room apartment building. Mr. A, who is in his late 20s, had been indicted on charges including evading military service, but did not attend his trial and was placed on the wanted list.
At the time of the incident, two investigators from the Namyangju branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office visited A's residence to arrest him, one knocking on the door and the other standing outside the building.
Hearing a knock on the door, Mr. A tried to escape through the bathroom window, but fell to the ground from a height of five stories and was taken to the hospital.
Mr. A, who complained of lower back pain immediately after the crash, is currently in no danger of dying.
