NCT 127's global tour ”NEO CITY : THE UNITY” wins the grand prize at the Edaily Culture Awards

The Grand Prize at the E-Daily Culture Awards was awarded to the group "NCT 127," which is leading the global K-POP concert sensation.
127 was named as the recipient of the honorary grand prize at the 11th E-Daily Culture Awards ceremony held at the Sejong Cultural Center Grand Theater in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 25th.
The grand prize of the E-Daily Culture Awards (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award) will be selected from the best works in six categories, including drama, classical music, dance, traditional Korean music, musicals and concerts.
127's global tour concert "NEO CITY: THE UNITY" was selected as the best concert.
"127" is a spin-off group of "NCT", a new concept group from SM Entertainment that represents the K-POP idol world, and was first released in 2016.
The group took their name from "127," which represents the longitude of Seoul, the "home of K-POP," and has since toured the world.
It is praised for taking the sophistication of K-POP idol performances to the next level.
Under the name "NEO", they are loved by global "Chizenies" (their fans' nickname) for their powerful performances, notable for their ability to adjust tempo and fluidity.
The grand prize-winning "NEO CITY: THE UNITY" was held in eight Asian cities this year. With a diverse range of songs and splendid performances, the concert deeply moved over 400,000 audience members.
The judges evaluated that the performance was in keeping with the purpose of the awards ceremony, which is to "create a space for interaction between the audience and the stage."
In the concert category, they are the second to receive the grand prize after BTS.
