At a press conference marking his 100th day as party leader held at the National Assembly on the same day, Cho said, "We are working with former members of the party, including lawyers, to draft an impeachment motion against President Yoon."
"The tyranny of the Yoon Seok-yeo and Kim Gun-hee administration has gone too far. They have ruined people's lives and cut off police powers," Cho said.
"The government is brandishing this sword like a sword. The basic principles of a democratic republic are being ignored. The people's lives are being shaken and the future of the country is in jeopardy," he said. "Not only the opposition parties, but also the conservative camp, including Yoon Seok-youl and Kim Kun-hee, are in a state of shock.
"We need a majority coalition that includes even those who are ashamed of this administration. Now is the time for conservatives to make a decision, going beyond the progressive and centrist camps."
In addition, Lee Jae-myung, the chairman of the main opposition Democratic Party, recently said, "I am a conservative.
"They say the Democratic Party is a party of practical use, but we are different," he said, emphasizing, "Together with our 160,000 party members, we intend to take a different path from the Democratic Party."
He continued, "The Fatherland Reform Party is a minority party, but it will be a bold minority," and "Yoon Seok-yol and Kim Geon-hee, who are the wicked ones of the nation,
"This will be a blow to the joint government," he said.
