"Gangnam B-Side" is a story about detective Kang Dong-woo (Jo Woo-Jin) and prosecutor Kim Hyun-seo (Kim Hyun-seo), who are searching for the club ace Jae-Hee (Kim Hyun-seo) who disappeared from Gangnam.
The three pursuers, Min So Jin (Ha Yoon Kyung), the mysterious broker Yoon Gil Ho (Ji Chang Wook), and others, meet for different reasons to pursue a case hidden in the shadows of Gangnam.
Director Park Noo-ri said about the reason for casting Ji Chang-Wook, "I've been a fan for a long time. Our mothers were fans of 'Empress Ki', so I've been a fan for a long time.
He explained, "I've been watching the broadcast for a while now and thought, 'Someday there will be a day when I'll work on it.' As a fan, I wanted to see his bad face."
In response, Ji Chang Wook called Director Park's mother his senior and said, "I've actually worked with her before," drawing attention.
He said, "She appeared as my stepmother in 'The Worst Evil.' In fact, the director's younger brother also appears in the film." Upon hearing this, Jo Woo-jin said, "This is like an indictment of the truth..."
Ji Chang Wook plays the notorious broker Yoon Gil-ho. He said, "I put a lot of effort into the costume and make-up," and added, "You can tell Yoon Gil-ho's face is normal."
"I wanted to express what kind of work he does in his everyday life and who he is fighting with, so I drew the scars on him."
"I thought it would be better if I didn't look like a normal person when I was with other people.
I wanted to look tough and mysterious, so I prepared outfits that are much more intense than what I usually wear." "Gangnam B-Side" will be released on November 6th.
