China's transportation fixed asset investment in January-September was 2.7 trillion yen: Chinese report

On the 29th, the Ministry of Transport of China announced the economic situation related to transportation in the first nine months of this year. According to the information released, the transportation market in the first nine months of this year maintained stable growth overall.
All major indicators, including the volume of cargo transported, the volume of cargo handled at ports, and the number of people traveling between wards, achieved increases compared to the same period last year.
Of this, the volume of cargo transported by businesses reached 41.63 billion tons, up 3.3% from the same period last year.
By volume, road freight volume increased 3.1% to 30.66 billion tons, while waterway freight volume increased 4.8% to 7.16 billion tons.
During the same period, investment in transportation fixed assets reached 2.7 trillion former (approximately 58 trillion yen). Of this, investment in road transport accounted for 1.7 trillion former.
In the second half of the fiscal year, investment in infrastructure was 1.9 trillion former (approximately 40.8 trillion yen), and investment in waterway transportation was 157.6 billion former (approximately 3.4 trillion yen).
