Actor Song Kang and actress Han Seo Hee co-star in the TV series ”Even If You Know” to be remade in Japan...Yokohama Ryusei to play Song Kang's role

The highly popular South Korean drama ‘Even If I Know’ will be remade in Japan.

　Actor Ryuhei Yokohama will play the lead role in the drama, ‘Even if You know’ the shapes of love, which will be released to viewers worldwide on 9 December at 9pm via the OTT platforms ABEMA and Netflix.

　The 2021 broadcast of ‘Even If You Know’, a push-pull love story between actor Song Gang and actress Han Seo-hee, attracted crushes and sympathy, forming a fanatical fanbase. In particular, it was ranked in the Netflix Global Top 10 TV (non-English) category for seven consecutive weeks, capturing fans around the world who are excited about K-romance, and stayed in the top 10 in Japan for 13 weeks, proving its popularity there.

　This remake stars Ryuhei Yokohama in the lead role. It will be released in eight episodes, with Ryutaro Nakagawa directing and Michito Fujii as general producer. Set in Kamakura, Japan, the film will precisely depict the human impulse to be addicted to love and the emotions of the protagonist, who is drawn to it even though he knows it will hurt him.

　Lee Min-jung, head of the distribution team at SLL Global, which produced the original version, said: ‘We are delighted with the news that the SLL-produced drama “Even If You Know” will be remade by the wonderful Japanese staff and actors.
