”Don't see my daughter”... 14-year-old male student stabbed with knife in South Korea

Prosecutors have sought a seven-year prison sentence for a woman in her 30s who was indicted on charges of attempted murder for brandishing a knife and injuring a male student who was close to her daughter.
On the 1st, Chief Judge Lee Jung-gil of the 11th Criminal Division of the Daegu District Court announced the closing hearing for Mr. A (38), who was indicted on suspicion of attempted murder.
On that day, the prosecution requested the court to sentence Mr. A to seven years in prison. The prosecution said, "It was an accidental attempt to kill a minor," and "The victim regained consciousness, but the
"Mr. A is a 20-year-old man who was arrested in Daegu City on September 9th at around 10:40 pm.
On the street, he approached student B (14) who was with his daughter, and stabbed him in the shoulder with a knife, telling him to "die." Student B, who was injured at the time, ran away, and Mr. A tried to chase after him, but Mr. A's daughter, who was next to him,
According to News 1, after A's daughter, Ms. C (16), met Student B through an acquaintance, she began to engage in delinquent behavior, such as skipping school, drinking alcohol, and smoking cigarettes.
A moved to Jeju Island to separate the two, but C overdosed on sleeping pills on Cheju Island and fell into a coma. A regained consciousness and
C tried to persuade him not to meet B, but it was no use. After that, C tried to return to Daegu alone, but A followed him and, after drinking, ambushed B.
In his final statement, Mr. A said, "I want to go back to my former home where my children are waiting for me, unaware of what happened," and asked for a lenient punishment.
The sentencing hearing for Mr. A is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on the 13th of this month.
