外食用業界向けロボット市場で存在感示すハンファエアロ、2500店で運用=韓国
Hanwha Aero makes its presence felt in restaurant robot market, operating in 2,500 restaurants in South Korea
Hanwha Aerospace (hereinafter, Hanwha Aero), a manufacturer of aviation parts, has announced that it will develop collaborative robots, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and other robots for the food service and leisure industries.
The company is trying to expand its robotics business in the restaurant industry. B Robotics, a subsidiary of Woowa Brothers, which operates the delivery app "Delivery Minzoku," is the company that operates the serving robots for Delivery Minzoku.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed. Hanwha Aero's collaborative robots and B Robotics' serving robots will complement each other to promote automation of the entire store, including the kitchen and dining area.
Hanwha Aero was the first to commercialize a collaborative robot in 2017, and has since offered a variety of food tech products, including a wine swirling robot and a barista robot.
As of the end of the month, more than 3,100 robots are in operation in approximately 2,500 restaurants nationwide. Food tech, which uses robotics technology to reduce labor costs in the restaurant industry, is rapidly increasing.
Hanwha Aero plans to work with its group company Hanwha Foodtech to manufacture robots that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI).
In addition, in cooperation with Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, which operates accommodation facilities, we are establishing a company specializing in building management.
They also plan to develop bots.
