”Boryeong Mud” wins the NH Nonghyup Bank Korean Women's Go League... ”Pyeongtaek Brain City”, which Nakamura Sumire 3rd Dan belongs to, comes in second
On the 3rd, at the Korea Go Association Go TV Studio, in the final match of the 2024 NH Nonghyup Bank Korea Women's Go League Championship, Boryeong Mad won the match against Pyeongtaek Brain Squad.

In the third and final game of the season, Kim JuA 3-dan from Pyeongtaek faced Kim Da-yeon 5-dan from Boryeong.
She took the lead and it looked like she was heading for victory, but at the end Kim JuA, 3rd Dan, made a fatal mistake that changed the flow of the game, and after 273 moves Kim Dayeon, 5th Dan, won by half a point.
Boryeong Mad pulled off a lucky comeback victory, winning the third race and becoming the champion for the first time in four years since the 2020 season.
Head coach Kim Mi-ri said, "Before the season started, many people would not have named our team as a strong team.
I was confident from the beginning that we could do well. However, the players performed much better than I expected, and coach Song Gyu-sang worked hard to create a good team atmosphere.
On the other hand, Nakamura Sumire 3rd Dan played an active role as captain in the team league she participated in for the first time since coming to Korea, and won first place in the regular season.
The 2024 NH Nonghyup Bank Korean Women's Go League kicked off in July and, after four months of eight teams competing, ended with Boryeong Mud winning the championship.
The league, which was hosted and supervised by the Korea Go Association and supported by NH Nonghyup Bank, offered 55 million won (approximately 6.1 million yen) for the winner and 35 million won (approximately 3.9 million yen) for the runner-up.
