The company has filed a lawsuit against Kim Juyeon and vice president Lee Do-kyung for defamation regarding the promotion of information and communications network use and information protection.
The director is the head of the dolphin kidnapping group, and is the man behind the Korean girl group NewJeans' "ETA" and "D
He also directed the music video for "itto." He also attracted attention with his YouTube channel "Bang Hee-soo," which utilized the worldview of Bang Hee-soo in "New Jeans."
The YouTube channel also posted footage of "New Jeans" that Bang Hee-soo shot on a video camera, adding to the immersive experience for fans.
However, in August of this year, ADORformer's CEO Min Hee Jin was dismissed from his position as director, and conflict arose between the new ADOR management team and Director Shin.
At the time, Director Shin said, "Due to ADOR's request to delete the music video for 'New Jeans' and related video clips that the Dolphin Kidnapping Group had worked on and uploaded,
"The channel will no longer be able to release any videos that were scheduled to be uploaded in the future," the company said. All content on Bang Hee-soo's YouTube channel was also deleted.
ADOR responded by saying that it had simply asked Shin to stop posting the director's cut footage of "ETA," which he had posted without consulting advertisers.
However, Director Shin said, "The three companies that came together to produce the film decided to release the director's cut on the Dolphin Kidnapping Group channel.
"They threatened to send a certified letter to the dolphin kidnapping group and demand double the service fee as a breach of contract if the video was not deleted by Monday morning.
What is this all about?" Director Shin, who demanded an apology from ADOR, later said, "Because (ADOR) did not apologize, we need the recordings, emails, and documents that we have.
Therefore, we will submit or make public the documents one by one and file a lawsuit against CEO Kim Juyeon and Vice CEO Lee Do Kyung for defamation," they said, and filed the lawsuit on the 4th of this month.
However, on the 8th (today), it was revealed that ADOR had filed a civil lawsuit against Director Shin.
"I have no personal feelings toward director Shin Woo-seok, with whom I worked on a great project," he said, "However, we cannot condone acts that violate our contract with ADOR or infringe on ADOR's intellectual property rights."
"As we cannot accept this, we filed a civil lawsuit against the Dolphin Kidnapping Group and director Shin Woo-suk about two months ago, alleging that they were liable for breach of contract and damages for their illegal acts."
Regarding Director Shin's lawsuit against ADOR's management, the company stated, "We are extremely disappointed that there has been no response to the civil lawsuit, and instead, an unfounded criminal complaint has been filed against ADOR's management.
With Director Shin Woo-suk and ADOR now facing off in a head-on lawsuit, attention is focused on the outcome of their battle for truth.
